68 of the Most Memorable Elvis Presley Quotes

Even if you don’t listen to his music or aren’t an Elvis fan, everyone knows who Elvis is because he’s one of the most famous musicians in the world!  Elvis Presley was born in Mississippi in the year of 1935. He came from a poor family, but was extremely devoted to his family. Gospel music in the churches he had attended was one of the biggest inspirations for Elvis. Receiving his first guitar from his mother in 1946 on his 11th birthday led him to winning a talent show at Humes High School in Memphis.

In 1954 his first single “That’s All Right” was released. Elvis Presley then went on to signing a movie contract and releasing his first number one hit “Heartbreak Hotel” all in the year of 1956. Aside from being “The King”, Presley was known for his good looks, weird and different but likeable music, and sexy dance moves. Presley sadly, like most of the greats, developed drug habits and ultimately died at the age of 42.
