Augustine “Og” Mandino II was a famous American author and motivational speaker. He was born on December 12, 1923 and passed away on September 3, 1996. Og is most well known for his best selling sales book, The Greatest Salesman in the World which is a parable about sales technique that weaves in mythology, spirituality and religious elements. This book catapulted Og to fame and his books have sold over 50 million copies and been translated into over 25 languages.

Og was a well known public motivational speaker. He was inducted into the National Speakers Association’s Hall of Fame, and also served as the president of Success Unlimited magazine until 1976.
